Dr. Ric & Rev.Melissa Lewellen
Growing up in a pastor’s home, Pastor Ric has been involved in ministry since an early age. He has served in Children’s and Youth Ministries, Christian Education (from Sunday school to discipleship groups, and at the University level), in praise and worship, evangelism, missions, and pastoral ministry. He has enjoyed speaking and teaching at various events across the United States, Africa, Uganda and Mexico. Through his ministry organization, PR Ministries, he built a school in Nakuru, Kenya, and is helping to plant a church in Uganda. Pastor Ric has a passion for missions, and for mentoring young pastors. He holds several degrees, including a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Studies.
Pastor Ric also serves as the Western Regional Executive Presbyter and sits on the Board of Directors of the Potomac Ministry Network. He also brings his business experience and expertise from the corporate world to the multiple church and ministry boards on which he serves.
Pastor Melissa has been active in church ministry since her pre-teen years. She has served in various capacities in local churches (both in lay leadership and pastoral positions) as a teacher, youth leader, choir director, music pastor, discipleship pastor, and in women’s ministries. She has enjoyed serving as a regional rep and on the leadership team of the Potomac Ministry Network’s women’s ministry, as well as speaking at conferences and events. She makes the annual treks with Ric to speak at an annual Pastor’s Conference in East Africa, where they minister to pastors and church leadership from more than five nations. She is passionate about mentoring and encouraging young women and female leaders, as well as helping to equip believers to live like Christ daily.
Together, their goal is to serve God and honor Him in every aspect of their lives. They desire to see each member of their congregation know Christ on a continually deepening level, that newcomers and the unchurched will find a welcoming environment in which to hear truth that Jesus Christ cares for them, and that they will have a life-changing encounter with Him.
